Rainbow's End Pre-School Closure

Pre-school and daycare programs in Southwest Florida are all seriously affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic--something not seen by our own Rainbow’s End Pre-School as recent as January, 2020.  Struggling with the current and projected status, it is with extreme disappointment that our committee and Boards have decided, after many hours of wisdom and deliberation, that Rainbow’s End must close its doors as of May 15.

With this service industry area and retirement community trying to sustain a young workforce, many jobs are completely lost or in limbo, and large businesses are unavailable because of COVID-19.   Charlotte County’s needs for childcare are drastically diminished.  We’ve attempted to stay competitive, to keep costs down, but expenses have exceeded resources for several months, forcing this tough financial decision.

We are grateful to the employees who have been a part of the Rainbow’s End family for more than 25 years, who have helped maintain the school’s mission statement, and who have lovingly worked with and trained young minds.  “All things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).  Many cannot see that good can come from this, but as Christians we claim Scriptures offering hope, such as Jeremiah 29:11.  His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8), and the prayers of the Education and Administrative boards will continue for all clients and staff, that God will unfold new plans for you in ways you never imagined or planned (Ephesians 3:20).
